The month of Uwe continues with one of his lost (also out-of-print and fairly rare) games, Merkator. It's a bit of a dry Euro cube-pusher, and it's likely the least well-regarded of his "big games", but there's a really neat economic mechanic and some really cool interplayer dynamics involved.

Mogul is a auction / bidding game where you pass around a big wooden bowl and either add a cube to it or take all the cubes to buy rail lines. Why does this game need a bowl? I don't know but I bought it and its time to finally play it. haha
